Real Incident
When I was 5 year’s old. One day we went to play near by beach. It was school holiday. Usually we were playing near by beach. Suddenly we saw a boat coming toward to my island. We thought it was coming from Male’. When the boat was reached near by beach. We have noticed that was picnic trip. There are so many teachers. And student who are studying in atoll education centre. Around 10’o clock they started to playing. Some ware gone for swim, somewhere playing water pole also. Suddenly we herd a sound. “Help me’, help me” .then we hurry to go. Near by beach, we found man was drowning, but we were very small. We can’t help him. So we started to call adults to help him. And we loudly called for some body please helps him. Within few minuets so many people came near the beach. But when they reach, that man was snuck. After some time one swimmers found dead body of him under the sea. Due to that that picnic was changed.

An Unforgettable Trip
accompanied us. My mother was among them but unfortunately my father could not make it due to some important schedules in office. In China, a grand ceremony was held to give away the awards and medals. We presented a traditional dance on Maldives behalf in the ceremony. We were very happy to present our culture in another country. We all received our Medals. Luckily my mother's birthday falls during the period of our stay in China. So I wanted to give a surprise to her and I secretly went to a small gift shop in the hotel we were staying, with some of friends, to buy a birthday card. She was very surprised when I gave her the card. During our stay in China, we went to many beautiful places like the Birdnest (2007 Olympic Stadium) and many more interesting places. We also visited the Maldives embassy in China. The ambassador gave a very warm welcome to all of us. We all returned home after five days. Members from all the families were at the airport to receive us. My father was among them. We all came to Male' on one big ferry Dhoni. We had lot of fun. There were singing and dancing. I will never forget this trip.

By Aishath Inan Rasheed How I Spent My holiday During first term holiday I went to Addu with my family by air. We reached to Addu after 45 minutes. Addu airport was very developed just like Male’ Airport. When we arrived my dad’s friend was at the airport with our jeep to receive us. I stayed in my house. My house was very large and the name was wayside. We had a garden with large playground. The most I like about my house was, it was next to the beach and I get the chance to watch the sunset everyday evening. It was a marvelous view and so soothing. I discovered almost all the Islands in Addu. The best thing I enjoyed was going for driving on the highway. I visited all my relatives. They were so kind and courteous. They invited me for lunch everyday. Although I was not very good eater I take pleasure in accepting their invitations. One week later I came back to Male’ and the following day I flew to Sri Lanka to see the final game of the SAFF championship Maldives VS India. I cheered the team along with other supporters as much as I could to encourage and make Maldives team win by waving the national flag. Finally as a result our team won. I shouted “Hurray” with joy. The next day I went for shopping and bought varieties of items. We came to Male’ after two days. The whole Maldives celebrated the big victory especially almost everyone in Male’ shared their joy on the roads. I also drove in a big lorry with my parents and friends. For me it was an amazing moment. I will never forget that day. It was one of my best holidays ever.

STUCK IN THE TOILET
Two men appeared out of nowhere, a few yard apart in the narrow moonlit lane of our house. It was a very stormy night that the two strangers were wearing very thick coats. “News?” asked the shorter of the two. ‘The very best’ said the taller of the two. They both started walking hurriedly towards our house. The taller one rang the door bell. I went to open the door. I was looking through the window when I saw them coming to ring the doorbell. I opened the door to let them in. ‘Hello Aal.. How are you?’ ‘I’m fine thanks. How are you and Munzirbe?’ I asked my cousin brother(who was the taller one ). ‘We are fine’. Said Ibrahim. ‘Who is it?’ cried my mother. ‘It’s my cousin brother and uncle.’ I said. ‘Sit down please.’ I said to my relatives. My mother came and sat down to talk to the both of them. ‘what do I owe for this late pleasure.?’ Asked my mother. ‘We came to tell that Dhiana just born a baby! Said my uncle. ‘What?’ exclaimed me and my mother. ‘Yeah a boy.’ Said my cousin brother. ‘I’m going to the toilet.’ I said. I went to the toilet and locked the door. When I finished peeing I tried to open the door. But I couldn’t. I tried three or four times and I still couldn’t open it. ‘Moooooom! I’m stuck in the toilet.’ ‘What?’ ‘I’m stuck in the toilet’ ‘Don’t worry I’m coming’ said my mother. She tried to open the door but she also could not. Then she called my uncle to help her. They both tried and still could not open it. So we waited for my father to come. He came after Isha prayer. He came and broke the door apart to let me out. ‘Thanks dad’ I said and hugged him.

Tough struggle for success
It was the 21st of February 2000, the flight of Emirates landed to Doha’s international airport at 7:00 am. I felt a deep happiness because it was one of a big step of my learning journey. I went Qatar to study Islamic Sharia and law in a scholar ship which was given by the Maldivian government. My first day abroad faced me a lot of problems. I waited in departure for four hours because of the visa problem. Also the hostel I have to stay rejected me, for the reason that I don’t have proper documents to Identify my self for them . Those times were quite difficult for me, as I faced all these problems for the love of studying more and more. I made some friends there, by that time it was quite difficult for me because I don’t know Arabic language well so I couldn’t share with them all the things in my heart and mind, Despite the all difficulties I had to face, I tried to continue my education. I felt so lonely for studying in abroad and I missed my husband and family a lot. Everyday was a long day for me, I was counting the days with unexplainable difficulty, but I had the will of studying and being graduated from the university. The first and second year was passed like that, but the third and the last year was good for me, because I understood the language better, and able to share with the friends and I got better results from the subjects also I became aware of Qatar’s culture better. I was graduated in the year 2004 and worn the graduates cap with the honorary black and red court for the ceremony, that day was one of the most happiest days in my life. I came back to Male’ and started to work, for the government in the year 2004. By the time also the hope of climbing another step in my educational ladder still left no gap in my mind. Now I got a lovely baby boy and he is two months old but anyway I started studying for my masters degree by knowing that studying with a little baby was no easy task, I don’t have to stop my education because my family is taking care of my baby at my absent. Now I am doing the final year of masters degree. And my dream is to take a doctorial degree and to be a teacher, so regularly I can revise that entire thing that I had learned. After all these things and hopes I realized that studying brings happiness for the soul and body, but studying which should be undertaken very carefully and step by step with patiently. ________________ By Anara Naeem.

It was a sunny day. My mother and I were getting ready to go to school. Suddenly, my mother received a phone call. It was about that I won a gold medal from an art exhibition and I have to go to China to receive it. I felt very excited that day. I was not the only child who won a medal from Maldives. So there were many other children and I really enjoyed being among them. Lot of parents and officials |

THE NEW BICYCLE
Once upon a time there lived a girl called Reena. She lived with her mother. One day when she was playing her sister came from Malaysia. She brought her a beautiful bicycle. It was a Barbie bicycle. And the colour of the bicycle is pink and purple. In the bicycle it’s drawn a very nice Barbie. She was very happy when she got the bicycle. Her sister told her be careful when you ride your bicycle. She said,” Yes my dear sister. And Reena asked her mother. “Can I go and ride my bicycle?’’ Mother said. “ You can go but be careful when you ride your bicycle’’ Reena went to the garden happily with her bicycle and with her friends. When she was riding her bicycle she felt to the ground. And her knee was injured. She cried very loudly. Her friends took her to the hospital. Quickly she was right. Then her friends took her to the house. Her mother told them. Why you all didn’t look for her? Reena said. Mom don’t shout to them. Please mom. Mother said. I am not shouting to them. I am just telling them to look after you , when you and your friends play. After all then they lived happily ever after. By Aishath Lumha Ali |

LOSING MY FIRST TEETH
When I was in my first grade I started to feel that one of my tooth was going to fall. It was getting loose, it was the hardest days of my life. I couldn’t eat my favourite foods. I was getting crazy about it. It took many days but still the tooth was not loose enough to come out. My mother always says that it would not hurt. But I was really scared. One evening after coming home from school I ate an apple. Apple is my favourite food. After I finished eating the apple blood was coming from my tooth. I couldn’t bare the blood I got so scared and started crying, but still the tooth was not coming out. My mother also tried to pull it out but she couldn’t. My mother call dad and they both took me to a dentist. It was my first visit to a dentist. We waited for more than one hour in front of the doctors room. At last it was my turn to go in. The doctor kept me in a big chair. Tears were coming out of my eyes. I felt to cry loudly but I couldn’t. doctor said it is nothing it will take just a second. I tried hard not to cry. He also said that it will not pain. He put something soft on my teeth and pulled the tooth out. I went home with my mom and dad. After going home also I kept my mouth closed I didn’t talk to anyone. I was wondering how I could eat anything. My mom and dad were laughing they make jokes to me. All my family members joked me finally I started laughing too because you know it didn’t pain at all. I was only afraid now I have lost 5 teeth’s.

AN AMAZING LIFE EXPERIENCEBy Ali Ausam amir I have heard much about the beauty of Singapore, one of the most famous cities in Asia. It is the smallest nation in Southeast Asia. Last term holidays, me and my family decided to visit to Singapore for our holidays. Few family members came to the airport to see us off. After four hours of journey we reached to Singapore. Singapore has large and beautiful airport. During my stay in Singapore, I went out every day with my family to see the beautiful and interesting places and things in the city. The city of Singapore is really beautiful. There are many places of interest, such as the Night Safari, Underwater World and Museum and many more. Being a famous city, hundreds of people come every day from various parts of the world to do business or to enjoy the sights of the city. We visited some of the harbors where I saw large ships anchored there. I was really deeply impressed by activities at the harbor. Another day we visited the museum. Safari park was where I wanted to visit most ever since I was a small boy. So, one day we went to the Safari Park. It was our first visit to the park and I was most excited. We got the park early and I was so impressed as the park was so huge and full of different kinds of animals. I felt a bit agitated when we stopped at the leopard trail to watch various types of tigers, elephants, rhinos. The park was well designed allowing you to get up close with so many of the animals. I saw them moving and interacting far more than at any zoo. Animals were obviously well cared for and appeared to be happy in captivity. Feeding them in the park was wonderful experience for me. I really enjoyed watching the lions show. To see the lions getting fed was absolutely superb. The birds of prey show was fantastic where I saw an owl, hawk, falcon and vulture it was huge. It was really an education to see all those things. We spend the whole day in the park. We had a little shot in the play area then went home. It was the best day out I had during the holidays and the most fantastic place I have ever been to. To all who read this it’s a must to visit the safari park. I would suggest the safari park to all my friends. Then every night, we went round the town and visited some other places of interest. I visited a few of the cinemas as well. I took many pictures everywhere I went. It is helpful for a young boy like me. In short, I enjoyed every moment of my stay in this famous city of Singapore. I will be going next year to get round the many things I just didn't have time for this trip. This trip was unique life time experience.

My Greatest Trip
My greatest trip was when I visited Trivandrum. I went there with my Aunt and my brother. We went there and stayed at my brother’s grandmother’s house. It took one hour forty five minutes to get there. The house that we stayed was huge. It was like a palace. The living room and upstairs were very big. We could hardly play football there. We were in a nice and quiet room. We went there for one week. My friend was there too. His name is Rayyaan. He is a cousin of my brother. He was proud that I was there. Because he always feels lonely. Now he has a friend to play with him.He has a playstation too. He wakes up very early and comes to wake me up. Then we go have breakfast. We have breakfast and then me and Rayyaan go play playstation. Most of the time we play. We visited places too. After that day we went shopping to “Big Bazaar”. It was full of people. We bought many gifts for my parents and my cousins. We had many bags with us. The day after this we went to “Happy land”. There were very less people there. Me and my brother had lots of fun there. After playing we went to eat. We ordered fried rice. It was delicious. Then we went back to the big house. We were about to go back to Male’. We packed our things and went to the airport.

We gave our passports to the counter and waited for a long time. Meanwhile we ate some snacks. After some moments we got on to the aero plane. We were on the flight for some hours. Then we landed on Male’. This was the greatest trip that I’ve ever had. |
